Wedding planners
A wedding planner in Singapore can run your whole wedding or simply keep the day on schedule. Here is how the service levels differ, what to ask, and how to get matched.
Service levels
A wedding planner in Singapore is a professional who organises some or all of your wedding so you do not have to manage every supplier yourself. Planners usually offer three levels of service, though the names and exact inclusions vary between companies, so always ask for the scope in writing.
Full planning. The planner works with you from the early decisions to the day itself. This normally covers setting the budget, finding and negotiating with venues and suppliers, managing contracts and payments, designing the programme and styling, and running the day. It suits couples with limited time, large guest lists or complex plans.
Partial planning. You hand over specific parts, such as sourcing suppliers, styling, or managing the final months, and handle the rest. It suits couples who have made some decisions already and want guidance on the remainder.
Actual-day coordination. Often called a wedding coordinator or actual day coordinator in Singapore, this person takes over once the planning is done. They usually meet you and your suppliers shortly before the wedding, confirm the schedule, and manage the timeline on the day. It suits couples who have organised everything themselves but want no one in the family running around on the day.
Enquiry
Tell us your date, guest count and the level of help you want. We pass your enquiry to up to three suitable wedding planners. It is free and there is no obligation.
What a planner handles
The detail depends on the package, but these are the areas planners commonly cover:
A planner does not make the legal arrangements for you. Registration and solemnisation have official steps that the couple completes. Our guide to registering at ROM explains where to start.
How to choose
Start with how much help you need, then compare planners on fit rather than only on price. A few things are worth checking.
Style and experience. Ask to see recent weddings of a similar size and format to yours. A planner who mostly runs large banquets may not suit a small garden ceremony, and the reverse also holds.
Communication. Notice how quickly and clearly they reply before you hire them. You will be in contact often over several months.
Supplier relationships. Established planners often know venues and suppliers well. Ask whether they receive commissions or referral fees from suppliers, and how that is disclosed to you.
Who turns up. Confirm who will manage your wedding on the day, and whether it is the person you met.
Questions to ask
Fees
We do not quote figures here because fees vary widely and we have no published source we can rely on. These are the factors that commonly shape a quote:
Get at least two or three quotes in the same format so you can compare like with like.
How our matching works
Complete the enquiry form with your date, guest count, budget range and the level of planning you want. We read your brief and pass it to up to three partner planners whose services fit it. They contact you directly with their approach and, where they can, an outline of what they would provide.
Matching is free for couples and carries no obligation. We do not rank or recommend individual planners on this page, and you decide whether to speak to any of them. If you are still choosing a venue, the guides to wedding venues, small and intimate venues and outdoor and garden venues may help you narrow it down first.
A planner is usually involved over months and helps make decisions. A coordinator, including an actual day coordinator, usually joins near the end and manages the schedule and suppliers on the day. Some companies use the terms differently, so check the scope.
If you have organised everything yourselves, a coordinator means you and your family are not managing suppliers during the wedding. They are most useful when there are several suppliers, a tight programme or more than one location.
As soon as you have a rough budget and date range. Planners with a good reputation book up, and early involvement helps with venue and supplier choices. Coordinators can usually be booked later.
It depends on the service level, guest count, fee structure and inclusions. We do not give figures without a source. Ask for written quotes in the same format from two or three planners.
No. The enquiry is free, you are under no obligation, and up to three planners may contact you.
A planner can fit the timing into your plans, but the legal steps are completed by the couple. Read the guide to registering at ROM and confirm requirements on the official website.
