Venue type
All four stadiums and arenas on this page are in Kallang, and three of them are in the Singapore Sports Hub. This page explains what each one hosts, how big the crowds are and which to choose for a concert or a match.
Overview
Stadiums in Singapore fall into two groups. The first is the large ticketed venues that host international concerts and major sport. The second is the smaller sports halls and football grounds used by clubs, schools and national teams.
The National Stadium and the Singapore Indoor Stadium sit next to each other at The Kallang, in the Singapore Sports Hub. The OCBC Arena is in the same complex. Jalan Besar Stadium is also in Kallang and is a public football ground.
If you are searching for concert venues in Singapore, the National Stadium and the Singapore Indoor Stadium are the two that matter most. The first suits the largest tours, while the second suits mid-size shows.

How to choose
Know the scale. A National Stadium night puts up to 55,000 people through security and back out again. An Indoor Stadium show tops out at 12,000. Expect longer queues and a slower exit at the stadium.
Use the MRT. Stadium station (CC6) on the Circle Line serves The Kallang. Check the venue’s getting-there page for the event, since The Kallang publishes transport and entry notes per show. See the National Stadium guide for the rules on bags and entry.
Read the event page. Entry rules and permitted items are set per event, not per venue. Confirm before you travel.
Football is a different night. Jalan Besar Stadium is the home ground of Young Lions. We have not verified how tickets are sold, so check the club or league page.
If you are after exhibitions rather than shows, see exhibition and convention centres, or go back to all venues.
The National Stadium. The Kallang gives its capacity as 55,000, and it has a retractable roof.
According to The Kallang, it holds from 4,000 to 12,000 spectators depending on the layout and has hosted concerts, combat sports, badminton, tennis and touring productions.
Large tours go to the National Stadium, and mid-size shows go to the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Both are at The Kallang. Exhibition halls such as Singapore EXPO also host concerts.
Stadium station (CC6) on the Circle Line serves the National Stadium and the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
ActiveSG states that it is not open for public booking and tells enquirers to contact the stadium or Jalan Besar Sport Centre.
