Couples & date night
Date night ideas in Singapore built around live events, from concerts and theatre to festivals and light shows, each linked to its official page.
About this page
Good date ideas in Singapore usually have a fixed time, a place to sit and something to talk about afterwards. A live event does all three. This page lists date night ideas in Singapore at the venues we cover: concerts, theatre and dance, festivals, outdoor evenings and light shows.
Choosing an event takes the pressure off planning. You book one ticket or turn up at one place, and the evening has a shape. Dinner before or a drink after is easy to add around it, and most venues sit close to restaurants and cafes.
Listings are compiled from official venue and organiser pages. Each entry links to its source, where you confirm the date, start time and ticket terms. We do not sell tickets. Use the filters to narrow the list by type of event, whether you want music, a performance or something outdoors.
If you are still deciding where to go, browse our venue guides to compare places and how to reach them. For music nights in particular, see our concerts page.

Date night tips
Booking
Seated shows and concerts can sell out, and the better seats go first. Buy from the organiser’s or venue’s own page and book as soon as you have settled on a date.
Timing
Evening events often have doors open an hour or more before the start. Arrive early enough to find your seats without rushing, especially at large venues.
Dining
Most venues have restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Popular places fill up on show nights, so reserve a table and allow time to get to your seats.
Weather
Outdoor evenings can be warm or wet. Bring a light umbrella or rain cover, and check whether the event has a wet-weather arrangement.
Seating
Some events are seated and some are standing. If you want to sit together, look at the seating plan on the event page before you choose tickets.
Getting home
A late finish can overlap with the end of MRT service. Look up the last train for your line, or agree on a taxi or ride-hailing plan before the show.
Live events work well because they give the evening a plan. Concerts, theatre, dance, festivals and outdoor evenings at the venues we cover are all listed above, each linked to its official page.
Yes. Look for theatre and music performances, outdoor events in gardens and parks, and light shows. Check the listing for what is on in the coming months.
For popular concerts and seated shows, book as soon as tickets go on sale. For free or open-entry events you can usually decide closer to the day, but check the event page.
Some are free and some are ticketed. Our free events page lists those with free entry.
