How to use this guide

A Singapore events calendar that works every year

Most of Singapore’s big events run to a steady rhythm. The IT fairs return to Suntec on the same months each year, the Chinese New Year bazaar fills Chinatown before the holiday, and Orchard Road lights up for Christmas in November. Once you know the pattern, you can plan a year ahead.

This Singapore events calendar lists the annual events by the month they usually happen, with a short note on what’s in each one. Exact dates move a little from year to year, so where an organiser has already confirmed the next edition we’ve added it. For dates in the coming months, check our What’s On pages, which are updated from official listings.

A few events don’t sit still. Festivals tied to the lunar or Islamic calendar drift each year, and some trade shows only run every second year. Those are covered in their own section further down.

IT and electronics fairs

Singapore IT fairs: four a year at Suntec

If you’re after an IT fair in Singapore, you rarely have to wait long. The COMEXIT Group runs four consumer tech shows a year, all at Suntec Convention Centre, and all free to enter. Each one leans a slightly different way, so it pays to know which is which before you go shopping.

  • IT SHOW (March). The first big tech sale of the year. Expect laptops, desktops, gaming PCs, monitors, networking kit and peripherals, with show-only bundles and deals.
  • Consumer Electronics Exhibition, CEE (May). Home appliances and entertainment rather than computers: kitchen appliances, TVs and sound systems, smart home and lifestyle gadgets.
  • COMEX (September). Singapore’s longest-running IT fair, now past its 35th year. PCs, laptops, AI devices, gaming, mobile and smart home from hundreds of brands, plus product launches.
  • The Tech Show (November). The year-end show, pitched at gift buyers. Smart home, audio, work and gaming tech, with launches, rebates and lucky draws. Next: 13 to 15 November 2026.

A second organiser, Hossey Events, runs the Smart Home Tech Show at Suntec about twice a year, usually once in the first half and once in the last quarter. It focuses on smart locks, cameras, lighting and home automation.

A few tips that hold for every show. Weekday afternoons tend to be quieter than weekends. Check the brand’s own price online before you queue, since not every booth deal beats a normal sale. If you plan to buy something bulky like a monitor or printer, ask whether the booth offers delivery.

January

Events in Singapore in January

The year opens with a car show, a week of art and the first of the Chinese New Year build-up.

  • Singapore Motorshow. Car brands show their new models under one roof at Suntec, with electric and hybrid cars now making up most of the floor. Ticketed, at a modest door price.
  • Singapore Art Week. Ten days of exhibitions, outdoor installations, performances, talks and tours across Gillman Barracks, Tanjong Pagar Distripark, Bras Basah.Bugis and the Civic District. Many programmes are free, and the ART SG fair runs during the week. Next: 21 to 31 January 2027.
  • HSBC SVNS Singapore. The rugby sevens stop on the World Rugby circuit, held at the National Stadium over a weekend in late January or early February. Men’s and women’s matches, with a carnival feel and family zones. Next: 30 to 31 January 2027.
  • Chinese New Year in Chinatown. The street light-up and festive fair usually open a few weeks before the holiday, selling decorations, snacks and festive goods, with lion dance and a countdown party at Kreta Ayer Square. Free to walk around. Lunar New Year falls on 6 February in 2027.
  • Mummys Market. A baby and maternity fair at Singapore EXPO that returns several times a year, including January, with strollers, car seats, nursery furniture and talks for parents. Free entry.

February

Events in Singapore in February

February usually belongs to Chinese New Year, and in current years Ramadan begins too.

  • Chingay. A night street parade of floats, costumes and multicultural performances, held around Chinese New Year. Seats for the main parade are ticketed, while the Chingay@Heartlands shows in neighbourhoods are free.
  • Geylang Serai Ramadan bazaar. A month-long night bazaar of several hundred stalls, food and retail, around Wisma Geylang Serai, with the Hari Raya light-up along Changi Road and Geylang Road. Free. It follows Ramadan, so it moves earlier by about 11 days each year (see below).
  • Singapore Airshow. Asia’s largest aerospace and defence show at Changi Exhibition Centre, with trade days followed by a public weekend of flying displays. It runs in even years only, so there’s no airshow in 2027.

March

Events in Singapore in March

March brings the first big shopping fairs of the year.

  • IT SHOW. The first of the four COMEXIT tech fairs at Suntec, focused on computers, gaming and peripherals. Free entry. See the IT fairs section above.

  • Asia Tech x Singapore. A tech conference and exhibition on AI, digital policy, media and telecoms, aimed at industry and government. Registration and passes required.

June

Events in Singapore in June

  • Singapore International Water Week. A water industry summit and expo at Sands Expo & Convention Centre for utilities, governments and industry. Even years only, so the next one is in 2028.

July

Events in Singapore in July

July builds up to National Day.

  • National Day Parade previews. Full rehearsal shows on the Saturdays before 9 August, with the same flypasts and fireworks as the main parade. Tickets come free through an e-ballot, and the fireworks can be seen from public spots near the venue.
  • Singapore Retail Festival. The retailers’ association event that replaced the Great Singapore Sale, built around product drops, bundles and pop-ups rather than storewide discounts. It ran in July in 2026, but its timing hasn’t settled yet, so check before planning around it.
  • Mummys Market. The baby fair’s mid-year edition at Singapore EXPO.

August

Events in Singapore in August

August is National Day month and the start of the late-night festival season.

  • National Day Parade. The parade itself is held on 9 August, with the Presidential Gun Salute, flypasts, performances and fireworks. The venue changes by year.

Moving dates

Events that move or skip a year

  • Lunar calendar. Chinese New Year, Chingay and the Mid-Autumn Festival follow the lunar calendar, so they shift by a few weeks from one year to the next.
  • Ramadan and Hari Raya. The Geylang Serai bazaar follows Ramadan, which starts about 11 days earlier each year. It sits in February and March for the next few years, then moves into January.
  • Even-year shows. The Singapore Airshow and Singapore International Water Week run every second year, in even years only.
  • Formula 1. The Singapore Grand Prix was a September fixture for years, but it moved to October for 2026 and 2027.
  • National Day Parade. The date never changes, but the venue rotates between the National Stadium, the Padang and the Marina Bay floating platform.

For anything happening in the next six months, our trade shows and conferences listing, fairs and markets listing and free events listing carry confirmed dates, each linked to the organiser.
